Milo here.

WOAH, two new songs in one day? Must be Christmas. Oh wait, it’s February, whoops.

Big news in alternative hip-hop with the return of Dr Octagon, complete with Kool Keith, Dan The Automator and DJ Qbert. Check out their new track, Octagon Octagon, below:

Over 10 years since his last Dr. Octagon release, 2006’s The Return Of Dr. Octagon, and 20 since Dr. Octagonecologyst (where we last saw the full line-up), Kool Keith is back under the moniker and it’s like he’s never left. With the eerie samples and beats, courtesy of Dan The Automator, it’s classic Octagon, with the instrumental now elliciting thoughts of modern acts such as Run The Jewels. Keith’s bars on this, while little more than simple word association, can be taken straight from Octagonecologyst, with it’s surreal imagery and offbeat sense of humour. Finally, we are closed out with some class-act scratching courtesy of Qbert, one of the finest DJs to grace a turntable.

With this track, we are treated to the news of a new Octagon album, Moosebumps: An Exploration Into Modern Day Horripilation, which is due out in April.

Lots of hugs, kisses and lacerations
